Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)\n Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm\n Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays)\n\nA privately owned, furniture manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join their team, with the opportunity to progress into a lead role.\n\nThe company specialises in delivering exceptional bespoke, high-quality freestanding and fitted furniture to a diverse client base. Their portfolio includes heritage and conservation organisations, high-end residential projects, and collaborations with interior designers, architects, and construction companies. Projects range from individual bespoke pieces to large-scale architectural installations, spanning both contemporary and traditional styles.\n\nThis is a key role within the workshop, supporting CNC operations while contributing to workflow improvements and production efficiency.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCreate, prepare, and optimise CAM programmes for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery\nSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, materials, and machining strategies to maximise efficiency and quality\nSupport the planning and coordination of CNC activities alongside production teams\nAssist estimating and project teams with CNC-related input on costs and production considerations\nPrepare accurate works orders, drawings, and documentationRole Requirements\n\nMinimum of 3 years' experience in CNC programming (3-axis and ideally 5-axis)\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar\nStrong understanding of furniture and joinery construction\nAbility to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings\nExperience working with flatbed CNC machines\nGood planning, organisation, and communication skills\nPrevious Bespoke furniture experience Desirable Skills\n\nExperience with Biesse CNC machines and B Solid software\nKnowledge of timbers, veneers, manufactured boards, and substrates\nHands-on experience with woodworking machinery and fittings \n\nStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
