In the role of P/T Operations &amp; Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of 3 residential services in the Bedfordshire, Brent and Barnet areas. The P/T Operations &amp; Development Manager will not be the registered Manager for the services, but will direct line manage the 2 services managers who manage the services on an individual basis. The P/T Operations &amp; Development Manager will undertake supervisions &amp; appraisals of the managers, business reviews and business development of the services with a view to increasing the services within your designated area. 

The Candidate: 

You will have previous experience of operational management within the health &amp; social care sector. The ideal candidate must be flexible and able work out of hours in an emergency as part of the on-call service rota. You will have strong communication and leadership skills and be able to lead by example, and a health &amp; social care management qualification such as an; NVQ4, RMA, LMCS, QCF level 5, CQSW or equivalent.

*Build and maintain relationships at appropriate levels with customers to understand their needs, to resolve any issues and to tailor the FMP service offering. 
*Coordinate with customers to schedule repair and overhaul events and to generate forecasts to assist with shop planning.
*Develop engineering specifications and workscopes for engine repair and overhaul events to ensure compliance with customer and FMP contract requirements.
*Perform an engineering assessment of all current contracts and liaise with P&amp;WC Engineering to evaluate and apply current and new Service Bulletins and repair schemes.
*Provide event cost control through workscope, cost estimate and invoice review. Work with the shop and the customer to identify and implement cost reductions.
*Monitor FMP plan status by performing quarterly and annual reviews. Highlight plans that are under-performing or at risk, along with any potential financial issues in terms of cash flow, event cost under/over run and impact on balance sheet. 
*Provide technical and commercial input and analysis for generation of new FMP proposals and support specific sales campaigns accordingly. 
*Perform on-site operational and engineering reviews with operators to identify engine fleet reliability improvements and beneficial contract changes.
*Negotiate and drive to completion revisions to FMP plans. Ensure customer and company obligations are complied with.

The ideal candidate will have extensive maintenance and engineering experience with aircraft gas turbine engines, preferably with a working knowledge of P&amp;WC engine types. An engineering degree or aircraft maintenance license/approvals and a business qualification would be highly useful. The position requires someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can establish a high level of trust and credibility with the customer&amp;#39;s senior technical management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and a high level of commercial acumen is also a necessity to resolve contractual issues and to negotiate key contract changes with customers. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to learn and develop within the role and within the wider organisation.
